This May, we celebrated a remarkable milestone – the 10th anniversary of SGB Czech Trafo. Ten years of growth, innovation, shared achievements, and everyday dedication have transformed a small manufacturing company into a respected producer of dry-type transformers and an important member of the SGB-SMIT Group.
Over the past ten years, we have come a long way. Since our beginnings in 2016, we have continuously expanded our product portfolio, strengthened our in-house R&D capabilities, and introduced a range of innovative solutions. A great example is the Gravity Line technology. While its production was transferred from Germany to the Czech Republic in 2016, it was here in Olomouc that the technology was further developed into the product we know today. Working closely with colleagues across the SGB-SMIT Group, our team continuously refined the design, expanded its application range, and contributed to turning Gravity Line into one of the key technologies within our dry-type transformer portfolio. Today, our transformers are delivered to customers across Europe, and we continue to invest in innovation and future product development.
We marked this special occasion in Olomouc under the theme “We’re in the Same Boat.” More than just a slogan, it symbolized what has united us throughout the years – teamwork, mutual trust, and a shared direction.
The celebration included boat rides on the Morava River, reflecting the journey we have taken together over the past decade. Guests also enjoyed a live band, an impressive bartending show, and excellent refreshments. Yet the most valuable part of the event was not the program itself, but the people who shared it with us.
It was especially meaningful to meet colleagues who were present at the very beginning of our company’s story in the Czech Republic. Their commitment, expertise, and hard work laid the foundations on which we continue to build today. Throughout the evening, we reflected not only on the company’s history, but also on the many experiences, challenges, and successes that have shaped us along the way.
However, this anniversary was not only about looking back. It was also an opportunity to thank all employees, former colleagues, partners, and customers who have been part of our journey. Thanks to them, we can proudly say that while ten successful years are behind us, many exciting opportunities and challenges still lie ahead.
